1954. The actress Ava Gardner spends a few days in Cuba after shooting her hit film The Barefoot Contessa. Ava's agent tries desperately to reach her with an offer she'll likely not refuse: a tour around the world to promote the film. Ava accepts, and the tour begins in South America.
