Malaterre, vol 1 is written and drawn by Pierre-Henry Gomont. It's a story about a man who buys back an old family property in a foreign country and tries to reignite the logging business that comes with it. Gomont tells the story in a humorous way, and he paints a vivid picture of the central character, Gabriel. I would have liked the story to have a bit more in terms of plot developments though.
