As expected, Soichi Tanuma wins the Matsugoro Cup, and Setsu gets VERY annoyed. (So do his teammates, but for other reasons - the main being the hard to understand points system used in the competition.) He manages to turn his frustration into fuel for his future, though, and (after a few stormy encounters with mommy dear) decides his future is the shamisen (big reveal! NOT). A volume that closes a story arc and skillfully opens a new one, with Setsu trying to make a living off his skill, even...
