Next stop: Haut-Fort!The mysterious citadel is the only hope of survival for Sabre and his companions. The path there, made perilous by the omnipresent threat of monsters, becomes even more complicated with the arrival of a group of individuals intent on finding Lune at any cost.

The Langueloup villagers have made it to Haut-Fort! The hispid's attack forced Sabre and his friends to split up. After a fierce battle, Ocelle and the rest of the Langueloup community arrive at Haut-Fort. But some of the citadel's inhabitants appear less than pleased at the sight of the these newcomers. Meanwhile, Sabre and Lune attempt to reach Haut-Fort on foot, accompanied by young Merle, who has also been separated from his companions.
