It’s books like this one that make me wonder whether Mignola actually yearns to write superhero stuff. Overpowered (bordering on invincible) heroes? Check. Seemingly unstoppable foes that play right into the hands of the previously mentioned heroes? Check. Heroes that die only to be brought back to life when needed? Check.
