Sadakyo is now working in the castle, intent on finding the mask. Masamura has settled into the town below, and Prince Takedo is squeezed by two competing powers. Those are the starting points of this second and final volume. I liked this book. It takes the premise of the first volume and adds more layers to it. I especially enjoyed the palace intrigue and the strategizing of the opposing clans. Those ingredients weren't really part of the first volume. I felt the ending of the story fit well...
