You should read this even if you’re not interested in today’s world. Yes, Karabulut’s graphic autobiography reflects Turkey’s tumultuous ‘70s and ‘80s, and his life (by necessity, chance and choice) closely followed Erdogan’s ascension to power - but you can also read this with a kid’s eyes, laughing at all the subtle (or not so subtle) jokes that pepper the pages.
