Jason finds out more about his background through the documents and keeps running from the Mayflower Foundation, but is eventually pressured to alter his strategy. Meanwhile, things are also changing for Jones and Carrington in the hostage camp. I liked this volume. I particularly enjoyed the first half of the book when Jason and Annika is chased by Julianne and her team. There's a sequence in the harbour that's especially memorable. Betty gets out of the hospital and is set to back to France, when an old enemy shows up wanting revenge. Jason continues his investigation into the Mayflower, this time in Europe. I liked this volume a lot. It has a great pace, and the plot really starts to pay off at this point. I especially liked that Jason got a new reluctant acquaintance, Annika, who added another dimension to the story. Yves Sente may not quite be Jean Van Hamme, but he's still a very good storyteller.
